Additional Services
The Clinic provides appointments for routine immunizations, allergy injections, TB testing, and international travel consultations/vaccinations.
Routine Immunizations
Incoming students must meet the State of Illinois Immunization Requirements.
Most routine immunizations are available at Student Health Services, including MMR, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertusiss, Chicken Pox, HPV, Meningitis, Hepatitis A, and Hepatitis B. Other vaccines may be available by request.
Influenza vaccine clinics are usually held each fall. Call the appointment line at (309) 438-APPT to schedule an appointment.
Allergy Injections
Students are required to provide serum from their allergist, the injection schedule, and a statement from their allergist stating that they have previously received the serum injection.
Student Health Services will also work to accommodate other injectable medication/treatment such as therapeutic or hormonal treatments with an order from a primary care or specialty physician.
TB Testing
TB testing is not required for attendance at ISU except for international students. Testing is available at minimal cost for those students who need documentation of TB status for job or academic-related activities.
International Travel
A nurse will assist you in determining your immunization needs for upcoming international travel. A charge may be incurred for immunizations. Current costs can be discussed when you call for your appointment.
